What does sponsoring an NGO mean?
According to the sponsorship law, a commercial company or a micro-enterprise can support, at no cost, a project of the heart, by directing 20% of the profit/income tax or 0.75% of the turnover.
Microenterprise paying profit or income tax?
If you have already filed your 100th tax return this year, then you have all the necessary data to complete form 177.
Until December 27, 2022, you can submit form 177 and sign a sponsorship contract with a legal entity that is registered (on the date of signing the contract) in the Register of Religious Entities/Units - [ct:font-bold text-blue-700 italic]ANAF[/ct].

Turnover (total revenue) = 1,000,000 lei
Income tax for microenterprises (at least one full-time employee – 1%) = 10,000
Limit 20% of microenterprise income tax = 2,000
Sponsorship granted = 2,000
Tax on income of micro-enterprises for payment = 8,000

Taxable income base = 300,000
Microenterprise income tax (3%) = 9,000
Limit 20% of microenterprise income tax = 1,800
Sponsorship granted = 5,000
Amount eligible for tax credit = 1,800
